Man seriously injured in bus crash
Northumbria Police has appealed for witnesses after the Hendon crash

A pedestrian has been seriously injured in a bus crash.
Northumbria Police said the man, who is in his 20s, was struck as he was crossing Suffolk Street, near the junction with Ridley Terrace in Hendon, Sunderland, at about 23:00 on Friday.
The bus driver remained at the scene to assist officers with their inquiries.
An investigation is under way and the force has asked witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact the force.
