A planning application to extend the runway at Alderney Airport and build a new passenger terminal and fire station has been published.

The application seeks permission for the reconstruction, lengthening and widening of the runway, as well as the reconfiguration of the Bravo taxiway and resurfacing of the apron area.

It also proposes new ground approach lighting and drainage and the construction of new terminal and fire station buildings.

The application has been submitted by infrastructure consultants Aecom - on behalf of Guernsey Ports.
