The crash happened on Elm Lane in Copdock

A road has been partially closed following a serious crash involving a car and a bicycle.

Police said it happened shortly before 09:00 GMT on Elm Lane, near Wenham Road in Copdock, a short distance from Ipswich.

Officers said they were called to the scene by the ambulance service, and described the incident as a "serious road traffic collision".

Elm Lane is currently closed between Back Lane and London Road, and motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
