Man admits causing death of woman killed in crash

A man has admitted causing the death of a woman who was struck by a van as she crossed a road in Sheffield.
Tracey Rimmington, 53, died at the scene of the crash in Prince of Wales Road in Darnall in October 2022.
At Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Monday, Charles Pickering pleaded guilty to causing the death of Ms Rimmington by careless or inconsiderate driving.
Pickering, 24 and of Whirlow Croft in Sheffield, will be sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on 9 December.
South Yorkshire Police said at the time of the incident that Ms Rimmington had been hit by a Volkswagen Caddy van as it travelled away from Darnall towards the Parkway.
