House closed after repeated anti-social behaviour

No-one is permitted to enter except the tenant and emergency services until 12 February 2025

A house has been closed for three months after repeated reports of anti-social behaviour.

Residents near to Sandys Crescent in Littleport, Cambridgeshire, "endured no end of anti-social behaviour incidents," said police after a closure order was issued.

The tenants can continue to reside at the address but no-one else, except the emergency services, can enter.

PC Will Speak said: "The closure order allows the tenants to remain living at the address but will prevent those who have been attending to commit anti-social behaviour and other criminal offences.”

An order was made after a successful application from East Cambridgeshire’s Neighbourhood Policing Team to Peterborough Magistrates’ Court.

The action came as a result of frequent reports of anti-social behaviour coming from the address.

If anyone was found on the premises unlawfully they would render themselves liable for arrest, said Cambridgeshire Police.
