A woman in her 70s has been taken to hospital with "serious, life-changing injuries" following a collision, according to Surrey Police.

The force said it was called just before 15:00 BST on Saturday after a collision between the driver of a car and a pedestrian in Aldershot Road, Park Barn, Guildford.

A man in his 50s, who was driving the car, stopped at the scene and has assisted officers, it added.

Police said they were looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has footage of what happened.
