Attempted murder arrests after stabbing

A man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing.
Officers were called to the incident at about 14:40 BST and a cordon remains in place at Stapleton Road in Easton, Bristol.
A 19-year-old man, who was taken to hospital with minor injuries, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Officers also arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.
Ch Insp Serena Serjeant said: "This was a shocking attack and we are carrying out urgent enquiries to understand the full circumstances."
"As a result, there's a heavy police presence in the area at the moment and a cordon is in place in Stapleton Road to allow this work to take place.
"We would urge anyone who has any information to please report it to us," she added.
Traffic monitoring site Inrix reports that Stapleton Road is closed in both directions, with queueing traffic due to the incident.
