A man has suffered serious injuries after a car struck a tree on a road between Leeds and Wetherby.

Emergency services are at the scene on Leeds Road, the A58, after being called at about 14:05 BST to reports of a collision involving one vehicle.

West Yorkshire Police said upon arrival, officers found a man had suffered serious injuries.

A road closure remained in place while investigations continued at the scene, a force spokesperson added.
