Youth chased down street by machete-wielding gang

Three machetes and a gun were seized after three teenage boys and an 18-year-old man were seen chasing another male.
West Yorkshire Police were called to Gipton in Leeds on Sunday after four males brandishing weapons were seen running along Foundry Approach and chasing the male into a shop in Coldcotes Circus at about 15:05 BST.
A force spokesperson said three boys aged 15, 16, 17 and the 18-year-old man were later arrested in Brown Hill Terrace, Harehills, on suspicion of suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
Officers later discovered three machetes and the gun - thought to be a blank-firing weapon that had been converted to fire modified ammunition - nearby and all four were further detained on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. All remain in custody.
The force said nobody was injured during the incident and the youth being chased had been identified and spoken to by officers.
A cordon remains in place around Coldcotes Circus while detectives continue to carry out their inquiries.
Anyone who witnessed any part of the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to police.
