Teenager seriously injured in suspected hit and run

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Guildford, Surrey.

The pedestrian, a man in his late teens, was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the incident at a mini roundabout in Egerton Road, near Joseph's Kebab Van, just after 21:00 BST on Sunday.

The driver of the car fled the scene in the direction of Park Barn, according to Surrey Police.

No arrests have been made but the force say they are carrying out inquiries to try to find the vehicle and its driver.

Anyone who was in the area around Egerton Road, the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Tesco or Park Barn between 20:45 and 21:15 on Sunday, who believes they may have witnessed the incident, is asked to contact Surrey Police.

Anyone who has CCTV, dashcam or helmet footage of the incident is also asked to get in touch.
