Women are being urged to take part in a survey about how periods and the menopause impact their lives and work.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Women’s Health Board has released a questionnaire.

The periods and menopause engagement survey is open until Monday 21 October and has so far had than 450 responses.

Women's health ambassador Lena Samuels is calling for more participants.

A spokesperson for the health board said the learning from the survey, external will "help us to make it easier for people to find the information, support they need, and to improve health services".

They said 109 people who had completed the survey have also signed up for ongoing involvement in the research.

It's part of a programme to improve healthcare services for women in line with NHS England’s Women’s Health strategy.

Ms Samuels added: "We are really keen to hear from women and girls about their experience of health care.

"We want to shape services for you (women) that meets your needs."
