The owners of a garden centre in Warwickshire are also set to take over the site of a former Dobbie's branch.

Stratford Garden Centre said it would be making "big improvements" to the Warwick Road location before a grand reopening in March.

The family-owned firm added that it would be renamed Warwick Garden Centre.

The Warwick Road Dobbies closed in December, and was one of 17 outlets that shut before the end of 2024 as part of plan to safeguard the company's long-term future.

"This new chapter means so much to us, it's been 20 years since we opened our family business at Clifford Chambers, where we love serving the people of Stratford and the north Cotswolds," Stratford Garden Centre said on social media.

"Over the years, we've built a fantastic team of over 100 staff and forged wonderful connections with our local community.

"Now, we're ready to bring that same passion and dedication to the north-east of Stratford, welcoming customers from south Warwickshire and beyond along the M40 and A46."

It added that while the Warwick Road site had closed, it would be taking on the Dobbies team.
