Nine people were arrested after an unlicensed music event at a disused mushroom factory.

Suffolk Constabulary received a call at about 20:50 BST on Saturday to "reports of a large gathering of people".

Three people were arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance and two on suspicion of theft.

Police arrested another three people on suspicion of excess alcohol whilst driving and another person on suspicion of drug-driving.

All nine remain in custody for questioning.

Up to 300 vehicles were at the event and some surrounding roads were closed to prevent further people attending, police said.

Footage posted on social media appeared to show hundreds of people inside a factory unit, some dressed in Halloween costumes.

A lorry was seized as part of the investigation, as were various items of sound equipment.

Officers remained on scene through the night and during Sunday as the attendees dispersed.

Road closures to the location were lifted at about 16:00 GMT on Sunday and police had left the scene at about 17:40 GMT.
