Police name biker who died in Oban crash

A biker who died in a crash in Argyll on election day has been named by police.
James Maclean, 63, was riding a black Kawasaki ZX1400 motorbike which was involved in a collision with a white Toyota Hilux pick-up on the A85 in Oban.
Mr Maclean was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow after the crash at about17:35 but died the following day.
His family said in a statement: "Jim will be missed by his family and everyone who knew him."
They thanked everyone who assisted at the scene and the emergency services.
Sgt Scott Miller, of Police Scotland, urged anyone who has not yet spoken to officers but who could assist the investigation to get in touch., external
