Part of landmark building goes up for auction
The building was once home to the Esslemont and Macintosh department store

Part of a landmark Aberdeen building is to be sold at auction later this month.
The upper floors of 26-38 Union Street, which are currently vacant, are being offered with a guide price of £250,000.
The site was previously home to the city’s famous Esslemont and Macintosh department store, which closed in 2007.
The building had earlier been on the market, but a buyer was not found.
Property company Acuitus said possible uses for the site could include hotel space, residential, or student accommodation.
The auction takes place on 27 March and will be live streamed online.
