Drivers warned of flooding on A47 after heavy rain

Heavy rain has caused flooding on a major road and the police has urged drivers to find alternative routes.

The flooding has affected the A47 on the Norwich-bound carriageway near Saddlebow, King’s Lynn.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Norfolk Police said it was on the scene, and it urged people to “please drive to the current conditions”.

As well as being asked to avoid the area, motorists have been warned to allow extra time for their journeys.
