A health charity has started a new fundraising campaign to spread some festive joy to patients spending Christmas in hospital.

Money raised by the Northamptonshire Health Charity (NHC) through the "Elf Service" will provide gifts to all in-patients at Kettering General Hospital, Northampton General Hospital and Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust facilities, including mental health and community hospitals.

The charity has asked for monetary donations, rather than pre-owned or pre-bought gifts.

Alfie Wright, head of fundraising at NHC, said: "Every donation helps spread kindness to those in our local hospitals."

More information on the "Elf Service" campaign can be found on the charity's website., external
