Roundabout upgrade completed on time

Commuters and businesses have been thanked for their patience as roadworks at a major roundabout came to an end.
Work at Chain Bar in Cleckheaton began in June, with the roundabout widened from two to three lanes.
New LED streetlighting has been installed, as well as a pedestrian crossing area and cycle lanes.
Kirklees Council said the improvements to the roundabout, at the junction of the M62 and M606, would bring "lasting benefits" by reducing congestion and cutting the number of collisions.
Councillor Munir Ahmed, cabinet member for environment and highways, said: “I would like to thank the local community, businesses and commuters for their patience whilst the works were carried out.
"It has been a real team effort and commitment from everyone to ensure this project was completed on schedule."
