Woman killed in Tesco delivery van collision named

A 79-year old woman, who died following a collision with a Tesco delivery van in Gwynedd, has been named.
Susan Margaret Hofsteede, of Upper Garth Road in Bangor was walking up Garth Hill, when the delivery driver reversed up the hill and collided with her on Monday 29 September, the opening of an inquest in Caernarfon heard.
Mrs Hofsteede, a retired welfare rights adviser, was pronounced dead at the scene at 13:12 BST.
A post-mortem examination, carried out by Dr Brian Rogers, gave a provisional cause of death as a traumatic brain injury.

The 33-year old driver of the van was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but has since been released under investigation as police continue to make enquiries and appeal for witnesses.
Kate Robertson, senior coroner for North West Wales, adjourned the inquest.
