A new report has revealed air quality in Jersey has continued to improve year on year.

Natural Environment's water and air team have released the 2024 results from the ongoing air quality monitoring programme in Jersey.

The programme monitored gases such as nitrogen dioxide and found the levels had reduced further this year.

The regular monitoring showed levels of the gas have been going down since 2000.

Minister for the Environment, Deputy Steve Luce, said: "This report highlights the continued progress Jersey is making in improving air quality, thanks to long-term monitoring and targeted action.

"We remain committed to building on these results, in line with the objectives set out in the Carbon Neutral Roadmap."
