'Porch pirates' stealing packages in Jersey

Reports of packages being stolen from doorsteps and hallways are on the rise in Jersey, police said.
In a Facebook post, external, States of Jersey Police said it had received a number of reports about so-called "porch pirates".
Police said this was a nickname for thieves who travelled around places to take packages and parcels after they had been delivered.
The force added people can register for a secure drop service with Jersey Post, which provides a safe place for items to be delivered to.
