A person has been taken to hospital after a crash on the M5 involving multiple vehicles.

Police and paramedics were called to the northbound carriageway between junction 8 for the M50 and junction 9 for Tewkesbury at about 11:10 GMT.

Nobody was seriously injured, but one person was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital to be assessed, police said.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time or find alternative routes for their journey as delays remain in the area, but National Highways said they should start to ease soon.
