Real Madrid team bus involved in motorway crash

The Real Madrid team bus was involved in a collision on a motorway following the their Champion's League fixture in Liverpool.

The collision, which also involved a lorry and a car, took place on the M40 southbound in Warwickshire between junction 16, near Hockley Heath and 15, for Longbridge Island, on Thursday afternoon.

Footage posted on social media showed the front of the damaged vehicle pressed against the rear of a lorry trailer near Lapworth.

The driver was treated for for minor injuries. It is not thought any players were on board at the time.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said it treated one patient, the coach driver, for minor injuries. The patient was discharged at the scene.

The Spanish team lost 2-0 to Liverpool on Wednesday.
