Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man found injured in Walsall later died.

The 55-year-old was found with head injuries in Wednesbury Road in the early hours of 11 October and was treated in hospital.

However, West Midlands Police said he was again taken ill on 16 October and went back to hospital, dying that evening.

Officers said the cause of his death was still to be established, but they believed he was assaulted on the day he was found injured.

Two men, 18 and 28, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody for questioning.

Anyone with information or who has CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact the force or Crimestoppers.
