A 19-year-old woman seriously injured in a crossbow attack in Leeds has been discharged from hospital.

The attack, involving a crossbow and a firearm, happened on Otley Road in the Headingley area of the city on Saturday afternoon, with two women taken to hospital.

A 31-year-old woman was discharged on Sunday, with the younger woman undergoing surgery for "life-threatening injuries".

Suspect Owen Lawrence, 38, who wrote a hate-filled online manifesto hours before the assault, was taken to hospital for a self-inflicted wound and later died.

The attack took place while people were taking part in the Otley Run, a pub crawl particularly popular with students from the city's multiple universities.

A Facebook post seen by the BBC and understood to have been created by the suspect detailed "Otley Run Massacre" plans.

Counter Terrorism Policing North East said it believed the suspect, from Headingley, was acting on his own, with police not currently seeking anyone else.
