Large fire destroys buses owned by travel firm

A large fire has destroyed buses and caravans owned by a travel company in Cornwall.

Firefighters were called to an industrial unit used by Williams Travel on Dolcoath Road in Camborne at about 01:49 GMT on Saturday.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Tolvaddon, Perranporth, Falmouth and St Ives helped bring the fire under control shortly before 05:00.

In a post on Facebook, external, Williams Travel said: "[We] would like to thank everyone for their kind comments and support in the aftermath of the fire this weekend on part of our site."

The firm added: "Please rest assured that we are still operating, and the minimal number of clients affected have been contacted."

The fire service said an investigation was due to take place.
