A coastguard team and a lighthouse are to be featured in a prime time television programme showcasing the UK's coastline.
Burnham Area Rescue Boat (BARB) and Burnham-on-Sea's Low lighthouse will feature in the new Channel 5 series Coastal Adventures with Helen, Jules and JB.
The episode features interviews with Somerset Council's Harbour Master, Captain Jessica Tyson MNM and the team of local volunteers who work at BARB Search and Rescue in Burnham-on-Sea.
The project was supported by Somerset Council's Film Office, Screen Somerset, which said: "Our project is helping put Somerset firmly on the map as a place that is open to filming and has a stunning array of locations."
In the episode Cpt Tyson is featured at the Somerset Council owned Low Lighthouse which is still used as an active navigational aid.
Cpt Tyson regularly carries out routine checks and maintenance on the Grade II listed structure which dates back to 1832.
She said: "The sea and river are sentinels to the passage of time, providing a link from the past and to the future so sharing it is always a great pleasure."
Founded in 1992, BARB Search & Rescue operate two rescue hovercraft and two inshore rescue boats. The BARB team oversee a round the clock operation and have saved hundreds of lives since their inception.
