Three separate crashes involving four vehicles were behind the closure of a major road.
Norfolk Police shut the A11 in Norfolk in both directions from about 03:30 BST between Wymondham and Spooner Row on Sunday.
Officers said they received reports of a crash at 02:13 at Wymondham, after a Honda Civic crashed into the central reservation barrier, with a grey BMW sports car hitting it soon afterwards.
A third crash happened minutes later at the same location and involved a white Mercedes lorry and a red Mazda CX-5, police said.
Police said the driver of the Honda was taken to hospital with minor injuries and has since been discharged.
Four other people were treated for minor injuries at the scene and the road was re-opened about 11 hours later at about 14:30, police said.
