A new inspector for west Devon has been announced, Devon and Cornwall Police has said.
Nathan Walker would lead the local neighbourhood police teams for Okehampton, Tavistock and surrounding areas, the force said.
He joined Devon and Cornwall Police in 2005, and previously worked as part of the west Devon neighbourhood police team and was the previous north and west Devon community safety sergeant, the force said.
Insp Walker said he "really cares about the area and people’s experience of policing here".
He added: “I am looking forward to working with the many contacts I already have in the area, but will be working hard to meet new people in our community.
“West Devon is a great place to live and work, and our team will be out on our community, discussing local issues and working towards solving the concerns and queries of the people that live here."
