Man, 58, dies in hospital after house fire

Emergency services were called to the scene on Thursday evening

A man has died following a house fire in Cardiff.

South Wales Police was called to a blaze at a property in Caswell Road, Rumney, at about 22:40 BST on Thursday.

A 58-year-old was rescued from the home but has since died in hospital, the force said on Sunday.

One woman and four police officers were treated for smoke inhalation following the fire, the cause of which is not yet known.
