A man has been charged with dangerous driving, after a car crashed into several other cars and a pedestrian during a police chase.

Ayman Rafiq, 32, from Park Street in Coventry, has also been charged with driving without insurance, driving while disqualified, and failure to stop.

Warwickshire Police said the collisions, which happened on Foleshill Road and the A444 at around midnight on 1 September, left the pedestrian with a fractured leg.

The two roads are connected by a roundabout in Coventry.

Mr Rafiq has been remanded until his appearance at Coventry Crown Court on 24 September 2024.
