Man arrested on suspicion of murder after stabbing

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the stabbing of a man in east Bristol.
Officers arrested a 32-year-old man on Saturday afternoon in Eastville, Bristol, and he has been taken into custody.
It follows the death of a 25-year-old who was stabbed in Stapleton Road at about 17:40 BST on Friday.
Two women, 36 and 47, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, they both remain in custody.
A man who was arrested on suspicion of the same offence on Saturday night has been released with no further action.
Det Insp Mark Newbury, senior investigating officer, said the murder arrest "marks a significant development in our investigation".
“He is in custody and will be interviewed by detectives from our Major Crime Investigation Team in due course," he said.
“We are in contact with close friends of the man who died and have updated them of this news and continue to offer them support.
“The community can continue to expect to see an increased high-visibility police presence over the next few days as we look to help anyone who has concerns following this tragic incident.”
Stapleton Road was reopened on Saturday afternoon.
