Fire crews tackle 500 tonnes of burning waste

Ten fire engines and about 70 firefighters have brought a fire at a waste recycling centre in north London under control.
London Fire Brigade was called to Nobel Road, Edmonton, at about 03:30 BST on Thursday to 500 tonnes of mixed waste on fire.
The brigade says about 100 tonnes of the material, located in a single-storey enclosed bay, was brought under control at about 07:50 although crews will remain on the scene throughout the morning.
Residents in the local area have been advised to keep doors and windows shut due to the amount of smoke produced.
The cause of the fire is unknown
The brigade said it had deployed its drone team to the scene to get an aerial view of the fire and used a nearby brook as a water source.
Nobel Road is closed between Thornton Road and Kynoch Road, with traffic along the A1055 is likely to be impacted, the LFB added.
Crews from Edmonton, Enfield, Chingford, and surrounding fire stations went to the scene.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
