London Road in Gloucester will be blocked to all non-emergency vehicles

  • Published

A busy city road is being shut at night for two weeks to allow resurfacing works to be carried out.

Gloucester's London Road, the B4063, will be closed from 20:00 BST to 07:00 from 30 July until 15 August, excluding weekends.

The work is part of a £100m investment into roads by Gloucestershire County Council.

A temporary traffic order is in place for London Road, which means it will be completely closed to non-residential pedestrians and non-emergency vehicles while the work is ongoing.

A diversion is in place and a designated footway has been set up for access to properties.

Emergency services will still be able to use the road.
