A 65-year-old man has died in a single-vehicle crash in West Sussex.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Ardingly Road, Lindfield, at about 06:35 GMT on Friday.

The sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.

His next of kin have been informed and an investigation to establish the full circumstances of the crash is ongoing.

Stonecross Lane and Park Lane had been closed in both directions but have since reopened.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
