Eluned Morgan says critical comments from people online can throw doubt at her decisions

Wales' first minister says she avoids reading social media comments about her to protect herself from losing confidence in her abilities as a leader.

Speaking to BBC Woman's Hour on Thursday, Eluned Morgan said the constant scrutiny can be "demoralising" so she opts out of consuming online opinions altogether.

"I haven't felt threatened, yet, but I am very aware the noises on social media are quite aggressive and violent in their tone," she said.

"I am happy to post things, but it can be quite difficult to just keep on taking onboard the comments from people," Ms Morgan admitted.
