A person has been airlifted to hospital after a crash involving three vehicles blocked a busy road.

Police and paramedics were called to the A146 in Barnby near Lowestoft, Suffolk, at 08:00 BST.

Three vehicles were involved leading to the closure of Beccles Road, between the junction with the A145 Copland Way in Barnby and the A1145 roundabout at Carlton Colville.

The East of England Ambulance Service said it took one patient by air ambulance to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge while another was taken by road to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston-on-Sea in Norfolk.
