Four arrests after 'gun fired'

Four men have been arrested following reports of a gun being fired in Grimsby, Humberside Police said.

Armed officers were called to Cooper Road at around 22:45 BST on Monday.

A 25-year-old man was arrested the following day on suspicion of attempted murder.

Three other men were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Ch Insp Jayne Goodens said: “I can confirm over the course of the last three days we have been conducting extensive lines of enquiry to understand the circumstances surrounding the report."

She added: “Locals to the area can expect to see an increased police presence whilst we continue our enquiries. Please do speak to our team if you have any concerns.”
