A 90-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Bradford.

The collision happened close to the junction of Butler Street West and New Otley Road at about 20:00 GMT on Sunday, according to West Yorkshire Police.

The man remains in hospital in a critical condition, officers added.

The driver of a black VW Passat stopped at the scene and helped police with their inquiries, a force spokesperson said.

Police asked anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact them.
