High street car park to close for maintenance work

Abbey Surfacing will be carrying out the maintenance work

A high street car park is due to close temporarily so that resurfacing and landscaping work can be carried out.
Stroud District Council's Stonehouse High Street car park will be shut from Sunday 13 to 27 April so that Abbey Surfacing can carry out the maintenance work.
The council said that all vehicles should be removed by Saturday and measures would be taken if they were not.
Pedestrians will still be able to access the health centre and the public toilets will remain open as usual.
Alternative short-term parking has been arranged at Park Infant School, Oldends Lane, and Wycliffe College, Bath Road.
Long-term parking will be available at the Magpies Social Club in Oldends Lane.
