A farmhouse in Cornwall had to be evacuated after two suspected WW2 shells were found during building works.

Police were called at 10:00 BST Tuesday after the discovery on farmland in Callington.

The occupants of the nearby farmhouse were evacuated, a cordon was put in place and the road to Cotehele House was closed.

Police and the Royal Navy's Explosive Ordnance Department attended, with the devices safely removed for disposal by 11:40 BST.
