High Street to close for six days

Gas main works will be completed in time for the turning of the Christmas lights, according to the council

A town centre street is due to close for six days, to allow a new gas connection to be laid.
Kenilworth Town Council said it would affect High Street between 18 and 23 November and notified drivers there would be a diversion while the work is carried out.
However, it said the road would be open for the Castle Hill Fest street festival on 22 November.
It means the High Street will also be open by 28 November, for the switching on of the Christmas lights.
The council said the annual Christmas event, which is due to start at 17:00 GMT, with take over the High Street, with stalls, music and a visit from Santa with his sleigh.
