Two Newquay sites sold for redevelopment

Two well-known properties in Newquay have been sold for redevelopment.
The sites, the Tower Road Garage site and CSpace, have been purchased by Oasis Developers, with a spokesperson saying it has "ambitious plans".
The UK-wide property investors have purchased several properties across the Cornish town with plans to invest "huge amounts of money".
The owner of the sites said they wanted to create residential space and a co-working space.
The Tower Road Garage's redevelopment is due to consist of three commercial spaces aimed at attracting and supporting local businesses, said a spokesperson.
The applicant claimed the development addressed the local need for one and two-bedroom accommodation and would provide four one-bed and six two-bed apartments, with an additional two two-bed coach houses to the rear, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.
CSpace, on The Crescent, overlooking Towan Beach, had been selected as a site for co-working, offering a private office space for individuals, developers said.
A spokesperson said: "There will be an event space that will allow networking events, business seminars and private events for the local community.
"The main emphasis is on developing a working community, connecting people and a business hub in the heart of Newquay with a view to expanding the space both on-site in the future and to multiple locations across Cornwall."
