New care home will enhance area - developers

Plams to build a new 72-bed care home in Bradford have been approved.
Torsion Care will build the new facility on vacant land close to the city's Eccleshill Retail Park.
The company said the three-storey home, accompanied by a 23-space car park, would employ about 75 people.
Approving the development, which is set to include a hair salon, music room and sports lounge, Bradford Council planners said the location was suitable for a care home and had a number of relevant services nearby.
Developers said the care home would make "effective use" of the undeveloped site and "enhance this area of Bradford which is in a highly accessible location".
They added: "Whilst the care facility has a demonstrable benefit through creating care home beds for the elderly, a care home also provides employment opportunities for those that live in the surrounding area."
The site will be landscaped with 39 trees planted around the care home, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.
