A drug dealer has been jailed after being found in a park with cocaine, cannabis and £200 in cash in his car.

Rolan Beqa, 31, of Duke Street in Northampton, was spotted by police in his car in a park on Hobart Road, Cambridge, just after 20:00 BST on 22 May.

Officers questioned him and Beqa was unable to account for why he went into the park. He then gave officers a false name and address, but later admitted having drugs and money in his vehicle.

At Huntingdon Law Courts, Beqa received 20 months in prison after admitting possession with intent to supply cannabis, possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of criminal property, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

PC James Good, from Cambridgeshire Police, said: "Drug dealers like Beqa are not welcome in Cambridgeshire and we will continue to seek them out and put them before the courts.

"We urge members of the public to report their drug dealing concerns to us."
