Man in critical condition after Herstmonceux crash

Two vehicles were involved in a road traffic collision, said officers

A man has been taken to hospital following a crash in Herstmonceux, according to Sussex Police.

The force said two vehicles collided at Stunts Green at around 10:30 BST on Thursday.

The man, who is in his 60s, is in a critical condition, a police spokesperson said.

Emergency services worked at the scene and the vehicles were recovered.

Parts of the A271, near Chilsham Lane, were temporarily closed.

Sussex Police urged any witnesses or those with dashcam footage of the crash to come forward.
