Elliot Smith took this photo of his dog, Rosie enjoying a walk on the beach at Embo in Sutherland, while a storm was brewing above.

Another Rosie, this time joined by Lily on the left. Pictured by their owner Julie Gordon during a walk to Cramond Island on a slightly windy evening.

"Perfect beach weather for these calves in the Highlands, who fancied a walk on Brora beach," said Jane De Ste Croix.

Cooling off: John Dawson sent in this photo of a farmer hosing down his horse after it came out of the show ring at the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh.

A wild goat herd spotted by Robert Davidson on Slioch in Wester Ross.

Matthew Musset has sent in this photo of a barrel jellyfish seen from the Ardnamurchan peninsula. It was the size of a dustbin lid, he said.

Ruby the Sprocker springing into summer in glorious sunshine in East Lothian sent in by her owner Heather Boyle.

Milo Beswick sent in this landscape photo he took on a recent camping trip in the Eastern Mamores.

Allen Walley took this photo of Kilcreggan Pier, on the Rosneath Peninsula, on a very sunny day, he said: "The calm water shows reflections of the wooden pier supports and the shelter."

Julian Gillespie took this photo while watching the sun go down over Loch Shieldaig. He said: "Every minute the view just got better and better".

"The dolphins at Chanonry Point, Fortrose, were auditioning for Strictly and were dancing on Sunday, jumping out of the water so many times," said Catriona Dalziel who sent in this photo.

Susan Morrison from Perth sent in this photo taken during a trip to Findhorn beach.

Jen McNaught from Leven had a choppy crossing to the Isle of May, but it was worth it to see the puffins, she said.

"I found the local sheep controlling communications on a cycle through Inverkirkaig," said Alison McCaig who sent in this photo.

"This young Kingfisher gave me a great preening pose as a matador right in the middle of Perth city centre on the River Tay," said Peter Wilkinson who sent in this photo.

A solstice swim: Elena Reid sent in this photo taken on the summer solstice at Nairn beach. She said: "The beautiful evening and sunset, along with the warm wind, made it perfect for a dip in the Moray Firth, whilst watching the sun disappear."

Joanna Murray took this photo of Castle Stalker in Argyll during a trip to the area from Edinburgh.
