Older motorists offered free driving courses

Motorists in their 70s have been offered free driving courses as safety experts work to reduce accidents.
The scheme - set up by the Safer Essex Roads Partnership, external - aims to give older road users more confidence.
It would not act as a driving test or lead to any participant having their licence taken away, said the partnership.
"We want people to enjoy driving and feel safe and confident," added driver improvement manager Sally Plail.
"We need to make sure our drivers maintain their driving skills as they mature.
"As we all get older, we lose confidence, which includes our driving."
Ms Plail told BBC Essex common concerns shared by drivers included using the A12 - one of Essex's busiest roads - and navigating junctions that have been redesigned.
"All we want is to offer hints and tips to drivers so they can remain confident and yet retain their independence," she added.
The partnership brings together the emergency services, councils and safety groups. It aims to reduce death and serious injury on Essex's roads.
