Controlled explosion after police find grenade

A controlled explosion was carried out in Derbyshire after a grenade was discovered, police have said.
Derbyshire Police confirmed the grenade was found at 10:16 BST on Tuesday at a house in Queen Victoria Road, in New Tupton.
A post on social media from the Chesterfield Town Centre safer neighbourhood policing team said people in the New Tupton area might have heard a loud bang between 13:30 and 14:00.
The post added there was "no cause for concern", and a spokesperson for the force confirmed the grenade was "safely detonated".
