A man has been charged after another man was found unconscious at his home in Derbyshire.

Derbyshire Police said at 13:50 GMT on 24 December, officers were called to a house in Didcot Close, Chesterfield, over concerns for the safety of a man.

They found the man unconscious, before the 63-year-old was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition with serious injuries.

A 30-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in custody, the force added.
